I dreamt of band ytdy O.O

In my dream,

that Bing Yi person (guy from our school library who screams at noisy people)

was our conductor instead of Miss Chan.

He was also a bass clarinetist.

I was unable to play because I was given a golden soprano sax,

which he'd insisted was a bass clarinet.

I remembered clearly demanding for "my" 10K.

And I woke up with a wave of nostalgia.

These days,

Darly and I walk past bandsmen who don't even acknowledge our existence anymore.

It's sad to think that 4 years of services ended up like this.

Last Thursday,

Leigh, Darly, Mix, Seanieweenie and I were supposed to have a picnic @ Marina Barrage,

which is actually a really high-class dam.

Before that,

Darly and I had wanted to check out cameras @ Simlim.

However,

we gave in to real shopping instead.

AND I'M REALLY GLAD I'D SAID YES (:

These are by far the most comfortable pair of shoes I own - I SWEAR!

I've never believed whole-heartedly when Tammy (OSF) said she loved wedges for how comfortable they are, until I tried on a pair.

OMG.

If heels were cardboard, wedges would be cottonwool!

(Okay, a lil' exaggeration there hahahah)

Darly shrugged and said it has all gotta do with some Physics formula about area and pressure and whatevers.

Leigh joined us after we returned from Barrage.

Darly and I went to catch a movie after the other two left .

I thought it was simply fantastic!

I found it really weird that people can be so affected they sobbed,

while others were plain apathetic.

Especially that fat woman next to me.

("Fat" in this case is not an insult,

but more of a candid description)

She's one lucky woman though,

'cos she has something to hug wherever she goes (i.e. her tummy!)

There's nothing more painful than to let your feelings take control.

    Sometimes life works like this:

you've got to pretend you don't want something, so that Fate would give it to you,

because Fate always gives you whatever you don't want more often than the things you want.

Likewise, if I were to wait for Bus 2,

I would think aloud that I want Bus 29 to come.

As nonsensical as it sounds,

this method always works more often than it doesn't.

Which is why I'm gonna pretend that I want to remain single.

To be honest,

I can't imagine having to pour my heart out to another stranger,

to tell him everything he has missed out on in my life:

what I like,

what I don't,

how I like my coffee,

and why I don't take shark fins' soup.

Besides,

I would have much more time for my girls - both human and dogs.

And most importantly,

I would have much more time for myself,

when I'll be able to think of what I want in life

(as if I haven't already had my life planned out,

down to the details on getting into which university,

getting which scholarship,

joining which veterinarian organization after graduation etc.)

Well the thing that sparked all these,

if you're finding the above weird,

is the dream I had 2 nights ago.

Despite all the months in between, I dreamt of The Ex

(the latest one, not the one before him)

I dreamt of us on one of our mundane dates, chatting and laughing at nothing in particular -

mainly, just spending a lazy afternoon together.

I had not dreamt of him because I missed him,

but more of the relationship part.

That part right there.

I miss having a special someone whose inbox would look like my Twitter page,

someone who.. well you get the idea.

Maybe Darly's right,

I should have pretended to fall on that random cute RI guy on the train...
